01 · What you get

Everything a local business needs to be found and called.

Most small-business websites fail at the basics: not showing up in Google, not loading on a phone, not telling people the hours. This covers the basics properly, then gets out of the way.

  • Built for phones first

Most of your visitors are on a phone, on the way somewhere. Big buttons, fast loading, tap-to-call.

  • Google Business Profile

Linked to the site and tuned: the right categories, hours, photos and phone number. If you haven't claimed yours yet, we do it together on the call, since Google has to verify it's you. This is where most local searches end.

  • Booking and ordering wired in

Whatever system you already use, connected so a visitor can act without calling. Land Run's iCANS booking, for example.

  • Hours, menu, services, map

The four things every visitor wants, kept current. On the $79 care plan, up to 30 minutes of edits a month are included, not billed by the hour.

  • Your own domain, secured

You own the domain and the site. If we ever part ways, everything goes with you.

  • Know where leads come from

An optional weekly report in plain language, $20 a month: visits, calls, bookings, and which source produced them.

02 · How fast

From first conversation to live site in about a week.

The pace is the point. You see a working version before you commit to anything, and the build doesn't drag on for months.

  1. 1

    Day 0

    We talk

Thirty minutes, on the phone or over coffee. What the business does, who calls you, what a good week looks like.

  2. 2

    Day 1–2

    You see it working

A real, clickable version of your site at a private link. Not a mockup. You tell me what's wrong; I fix it.

  3. 3

    Day 3–7

    It goes live

On your domain, with your Google listing pointed at it. Menu, hours and photos loaded from what you send me.

  4. 4

    Every Monday

    You get the report

Who came, from where, and what they did. Two minutes to read. Optional, $20 a month.

Full site

from$1,800one time

Multiple pages, a real menu or catalog, and online booking built in.

  • Everything in the one-page site
  • Up to 6 pages: menu, services, about, gallery, contact
  • Booking or ordering system integrated (we've done iCANS, Cal.com, Square)
  • Local search markup so Google understands what you sell and where
  • Photo, review and social links ready for your Google listing

Care plan

from$39per month

After launch. Hosting, upkeep and a direct line to the person who built it.

  • Hosting, domain renewal and SSL handled
  • Security updates and backups
  • Text or email me directly, no ticket queue
  • Want changes included? $79/month adds up to 30 minutes of edits a month: hours, menu, photos, prices
  • Add the weekly lead report for $20/month

Starting prices for a typical local business; a bigger menu, more pages or a larger edit allowance moves the number, and the exact figure is confirmed in a written statement of work before any money changes hands. Texas sales tax applies where required. Nonprofits: ask, the Giving Garden's build was donated.

04 · Clients

What the people I've built for say.

“We can't say enough good things about Shane and Prosper Donkey. Our garden's digital presence was a patchwork — a decade-old WordPress blog, a Wix page for members, and everything else tracked by hand in spreadsheets and an old Access database. Shane replaced all of it with a real, custom-built platform: a public site, a member portal where volunteers log their own hours, and an admin dashboard that gives our board the reporting we need. And he did the entire build pro bono for our nonprofit. Every step of the way he listened, responded quickly to our feedback, and clearly cared about getting the details right, not just shipping something fast. If you're a small business or nonprofit that needs something real and tailored — not an out-of-the-box template — Shane is exactly who you want.”

“We asked Prosper Donkey to create a web app to help us score and track rounds of golf. PD delivered an amazing product much quicker than we anticipated, and the end result has exceeded our expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Prosper Donkey to anyone who is looking for a solution to a problem and are needing someone that can deliver that solution in a timely manner. Thanks Prosper Donkey!”

05 · Questions

The things people ask on the first call.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name, and the site's code and content are yours. The care plan keeps it running, but you're never locked in.

Why not build it myself on Wix or Squarespace?

You can, and for some businesses that's the right call. A plan with what a business needs costs about $30 to $40 a month, and then the design, the wording, the photos and the upkeep are all on you. My care plan is $39 a month for hosting, security and backups, or $79 with up to 30 minutes of changes a month, and you never have to log in. I keep the site fast and secure, tune your Google listing (where most local customers find you first), and on the $79 plan I keep your hours, menu and prices current too. If doing it yourself makes more sense for you, I'll say so on the call.

I already have a website. Can you just take it over?

Usually. If it's salvageable, the care plan covers hosting and upkeep, and the $79 plan covers changes too. If it's not, a rebuild is often cheaper than fighting it, and I'll tell you honestly which it is.

What do you need from me?

Your hours, your menu or services with prices, a handful of photos, and the phone number you actually want people to call. That last one matters more than you'd think.

How long does it really take?

Land Run was live in three days. A full site with a menu and booking runs about a week, mostly waiting on photos and answers. The build itself is fast.

Will I show up on Google?

Your Google Business Profile does most of that work, and tuning it is included. The site adds the markup Google reads to understand what you sell and where. Ranking beyond that is a longer game we can talk about.

Do you build online stores too?

Yes, on Shopify. Two live stores so far and a tool that writes product listings overnight. See the Shopify page.
