01 · McKinney
What a website has to do for a McKinney business.
McKinney's downtown square is full of independent shops and restaurants, and a lot of them have a website that hasn't been touched in years, or just a Facebook page. Visitors decide where to go from their phone, standing on the square. A fast site with your hours and menu up to date wins that moment.
For service businesses across McKinney, the work comes from Google. A tuned Business Profile and a site that loads fast and makes calling easy do more than any redesign that looks nice but doesn't get found.

02 · What you get
Everything a local business needs to be found and called.
Built for phones first
Most of your visitors are on a phone, on the way somewhere. Big buttons, fast loading, tap-to-call.
Google Business Profile
Linked to the site and tuned: the right categories, hours, photos and phone number. If you haven't claimed yours yet, we do it together on the call, since Google has to verify it's you. This is where most local searches end.
Booking and ordering wired in
Whatever system you already use, connected so a visitor can act without calling. Land Run's iCANS booking, for example.
Hours, menu, services, map
The four things every visitor wants, kept current. On the $79 care plan, up to 30 minutes of edits a month are included, not billed by the hour.
Your own domain, secured
You own the domain and the site. If we ever part ways, everything goes with you.
Know where leads come from
An optional weekly report in plain language, $20 a month: visits, calls, bookings, and which source produced them.
Fall and winter · 2 businesses a month · ends February 28
We'll build your new website. Free.
See it working on your phone in a day or two. You only pay if you want to put it online: $299 to launch, then $79 a month. Three months minimum, then month to month, and the site and your web address are yours.
03 · What it costs
Starting prices. The exact number is in writing before we start.
Half on signing, half when it's live. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
One-page site
from$1,000one time
Everything a small local business needs on a single, fast page.
- Mobile-first design in your brand
- Hours, menu or services, map and directions
- Tap-to-call, and tap-to-book if you already use a booking system
- Google Business Profile linked to the site and tuned
- Live on your own domain, secured (https)
Full site
from$1,800one time
Multiple pages, a real menu or catalog, and online booking built in.
- Everything in the one-page site
- Up to 6 pages: menu, services, about, gallery, contact
- Booking or ordering system integrated (we've done iCANS, Cal.com, Square)
- Local search markup so Google understands what you sell and where
- Photo, review and social links ready for your Google listing
Care plan
from$39per month
After launch. Hosting, upkeep and a direct line to the person who built it.
- Hosting, domain renewal and SSL handled
- Security updates and backups
- Text or email me directly, no ticket queue
- Want changes included? $79/month adds up to 30 minutes of edits a month: hours, menu, photos, prices
- Add the weekly lead report for $20/month
Starting prices for a typical local business; a bigger menu, more pages or a larger edit allowance moves the number, and the exact figure is confirmed in a written statement of work before any money changes hands. Texas sales tax applies where required.

What the people I've built for say.
“We can't say enough good things about Shane and Prosper Donkey. Our garden's digital presence was a patchwork — a decade-old WordPress blog, a Wix page for members, and everything else tracked by hand in spreadsheets and an old Access database. Shane replaced all of it with a real, custom-built platform: a public site, a member portal where volunteers log their own hours, and an admin dashboard that gives our board the reporting we need. And he did the entire build pro bono for our nonprofit. Every step of the way he listened, responded quickly to our feedback, and clearly cared about getting the details right, not just shipping something fast. If you're a small business or nonprofit that needs something real and tailored — not an out-of-the-box template — Shane is exactly who you want.”
“We asked Prosper Donkey to create a web app to help us score and track rounds of golf. PD delivered an amazing product much quicker than we anticipated, and the end result has exceeded our expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Prosper Donkey to anyone who is looking for a solution to a problem and are needing someone that can deliver that solution in a timely manner. Thanks Prosper Donkey!”
05 · Questions
What McKinney owners ask first.
Do you work with businesses in McKinney?
Yes. Prosper Donkey is based in Prosper, and McKinney is part of the area I serve every week, along with the rest of North Texas.
Can we meet in person?
McKinney is a short drive from Prosper. Happy to meet you at the shop.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The domain is registered in your name, and the site's code and content are yours. The care plan keeps it running, but you're never locked in.
Why not build it myself on Wix or Squarespace?
You can, and for some businesses that's the right call. A plan with what a business needs costs about $30 to $40 a month, and then the design, the wording, the photos and the upkeep are all on you. My care plan is $39 a month for hosting, security and backups, or $79 with up to 30 minutes of changes a month, and you never have to log in. I keep the site fast and secure, tune your Google listing (where most local customers find you first), and on the $79 plan I keep your hours, menu and prices current too. If doing it yourself makes more sense for you, I'll say so on the call.
How long does it really take?
Land Run was live in three days. A full site with a menu and booking runs about a week, mostly waiting on photos and answers.
Will I show up on Google?
Your Google Business Profile does most of that work in McKinney, and tuning it is included. The site adds the markup Google reads to understand what you sell and where.
Can I see something before I pay?
Yes. This fall and winter I build two websites a month for local businesses, free. You see yours working on your phone, and only pay if you want it online. Claim yours.
Thirty minutes. Then you'll know what your McKinney site costs and how fast it can be live.
No pressure and no deck. If a website isn't the right next step for your business, I'll say so.
No pitch deck. A conversation, then a written plan.
